The Ocean views and calmness of the place in a busy city like Galle was perfect for escaping the heat and crowd when you needed quiet time. The space in our room and facilities exceeded our expectations. It makes you feel like you are on an island by yourself considering all the noise and craziness in the city

Le Grand Galle is an extraordinary architectural masterpiece that feels like stepping into a dreamland by the ocean. The soothing sound of the waves and the tranquil silence create a serene atmosphere, immersing you in the vast beauty of the sea. While the courteous staff are always ready to assist, the natural charm of the place alone is enough to captivate you. The food and facilities are truly first-class, adding to the unforgettable experience. I absolutely adore this place and will undoubtedly return.

The location was superb and a short walk to Galle fort. The pool area was nice with views of the Fort. The pool bar was good and the staff very attentive . The staff want to please you. Sachintha kept our room spotless and entertained us with his towel sculptures!

This was an excellent hotel in a great location. The gardens and pool were very good and the room was generally great. The staff were lovely providing very good and friendly service. The lunch menu and food was really good. The evening buffet was okay but not as brilliant as the rest of the hotel. The one comment would be the bed - there was a very cheap and nasty plastic mattress protector that was really uncomfortable and caused a lot of sweat; whilst the need for mattress protectors are understood there are much, much better ones available.

Hotel is in a great location right next to the fort. The room was very comfortable and the hotel overall was very pleasant, the building could probably have been bigger but would have impacted on the facilities. Staff were all very friendly and above all, we got no menacing calls to check-out on time.

Beautiful property, unbeatable location 5-10 min walk from Galle Fort, very decent pool size and great pool area. The room was really big, nice jacuzzi and view, good espresso machine otherwise not really standard for Sri Lanka

Good territory. Good location near the centre of the city but still really calm, quiet and without big crowds. Friendly staff who really tries to help. We had everything that we need in our room. Food ordered to the room was really good.

This is the closest modern large resort just outside the Fort as there is nothing like this inside the Fort. Whilst close "as the crow flies" to get there is a long walk down a ugly street or best get a short tuk tuk ride to the Fort. Meals were excellent with a huge selection buffet for dinner and breakfast (can't comment on the lunch as we only had breakkie and dinner here). Nice view over the ocean and very close view of the Fort from the property.
